The Glenrothes Whisky Maker’s Cut is a rich and full-bodied whisky crafted in small batches using only first fill sherry seasoned oak casks. This single malt Scotch is bottled at a higher proof of 48.8%, deemed by the Master Whisky Maker the optimal strength to enjoy the depth and flavor intensity that only maturation in first fill sherry oak casks can bring to whisky. Punchy aromas of bright orange, blackberry jam and baking spice set the stage for a juicy palate of exotic red fruits, rich baked sweets, and an earthy nuttiness. A long finish is highlighted by orange peel notes with a hint of nutmeg. Gold medal award winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a finalist in the Ultimate Spirits Challenge with a score of 96 points.
